I finally finished the afghan I'm making for the new great-grandbaby Mia. And I hate to say it, but I've bought more yarn - this time for the Felt Laptop Case in the Bag Style book. I got some navy blue and one of Cascades painted yarns for accent color; then when I got home realized I wanted something brighter for the accent. I may take the painted yarn back - or keep it for something else. It's really pretty. I've ordered the brighter color from Webs.
I also bought some Berrocco Comfort yarn, which my LYS lady sold me on - to make a baby sweater. I needed something washable. The yarn (which I swatched tonight between answering the door and handing out Halloween treats) is very soft, and knits up almost like a ribbon yarn. It's not wool - 50/50 nylon/acrylic - but I think it will work up nicely. The baby sweater is all in garter stitch and should go together quickly. I found the pattern in Melanie Falick's Weekend Knitting.
When I got home from the store I had a package of yarn from Webs in the mail. How much yarn can one person use? Well, Debbie Bliss Pure Cashmere was on sale and I've been waiting over a year to get some to make a particular sweater. Now I hope I bought enough of it! I must stop with the yarn purchases!!! But will I? I doubt it.

Well, That Worked!

Beginning Again
This is about my tenth stab at establishing a blog. I have no idea what I'm doing, but Mr. Blogspot tells me the best way to get into it is try it, so I'm a-doin' it today or else.
